Extreme purity, simplicity,
constant quality, zero discharge
Xzero has developed a full system for the manufacture of ultra-pure water.
Our equipment was selected for a test of recovery systems for semiconductor rinse water in an evaluation program sponsored by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the US joint semiconductor research effort (Sematech) which was carried out by Sandia National Laboratories in the US (www.sandia.gov).
Silica, TOC and any type of contaminant that other systems may find difficult to remove are easy to remove with our system. Ours is is the total solution to any water problem, and to any problem water.
After evaluation of the test Intel expressed an interest for a demo unit.
Since the tests were made at Sandia, Xzero has been working on the development of the technology. This has involved long-time testing of the equipment, optimizing the production methods and improving the system design. Furthermore, efforts have been made to increase the efficiency of the water and energy consumption, to develop other equipment that is needed and to develop still better membranes and new materials and manufacturing methods. This development work will be protected by patents.
We had our first full scale test unit ready in 2006. A long-time demonstration test was made at a Thermal Power Plant in Idbäcken (Sweden) by Vattenfall AB and the Royal Institute of Technology. The test results resulted in a positive report published by Värmeforsk.
Currently we are building a demonstration unit expected on line in September 2008.
